Sakar Humse Darti Hain; Police Ko Aage Karti Hain. Bharat Ki Jo Nari Hain; Phool Nahi Chingari Hain

The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh used the help of Delhi Police Force to escape talk with Delhi Solidarity Group of Activists.

Sakar Humse Darti Hain; Police Ko Aage Karti Hain.
Bharat Ki Jo Nari Hain; Phool Nahi Chingari Hain

If you were there at Chhattisgarh Sadan around noon time, today you would have seen history repeat to the tune of the SLOGANS stated above.

Raman Singh, the CM of Chhattisgarh cowardly hid himself inside Chhattisgarh Sadan Building for more than an hour with police security personnel guarding him outside.

The activists challenged him to come our and talk to them. They shouted "Raman Singh- Shame-Shame" demanding justice and release of Adivasi Activist Lingaram Kodopi and Soni Sori.

The CM eventually used the police to physically move the protesting activists to make way. The women activists put up a strong demonstration as they were being pulled and carried by lady police in an effort to clear the road for the CM's convoy.

At this point of time a Press Conference is on at IWPC, Raisina Road on the harassment of activists in the state, the horrifying medical evidence that has confirmed custodial torture of Soni Sori, and the wider implications of such state aggression.

It has become so common these days for activists to get arrested. My earnest appeal to all lawyers and activists of SJ fraternity who can comprehend this situation to kindly suggest if there is anything we can do to respond to this collaboratively. Even if it would mean visiting the field/jails/crime sites by pooling resources. We do have convinced activists in Delhi in this line of work. Can we collaborate in any way. Please send in your personal opinions. I would not mind to coordinate in order to develop a common strategy for effective national response.
